MagnesiumGuide

About MagnesiumGuide

Why this site exists

The magnesium shelf is full of confident promises, and a lot of them run ahead of the evidence. MagnesiumGuide exists to do the opposite: explain the different forms of magnesium and what they’re actually good for, in plain English, and to be honest when the research is thin. Where the evidence is strong, we’ll say so. Where it’s weak — as it is for some of the most heavily marketed uses — we’ll tell you that too, even when it’s less exciting.

Who’s behind MagnesiumGuide

How we research and write

Every health claim on this site is meant to be checkable. We prioritise high-quality sources — the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, Cochrane systematic reviews, and peer-reviewed trials — over promotional or supplement-industry material. When studies are small, preliminary, or low-certainty, we describe them that way rather than rounding up to a headline. Our aim is that you finish an article knowing not just what magnesium may do, but how confident the evidence lets you be.
